How do I return an item?

Return and Exchange

Return and Exchange of goods is allowed upon our discretion. Buyers interested in a return must contact us within "5" business days of purchase date. All returned products that arrive damaged will be replaced with like item. If an item arrives damaged during shipping immediately contact Solar Penny LLC to file a claim. All claims of damaged goods must be made within "2" days / 48 hours after arrival to your location. The window to submit a "damaged in shipping claim" ends on the 48th hour. A return label will be emailed to you and a replacement product will be shipped if you receive a damaged item. "Solar Panels", "Inverters", "Charge Controllers", "General Solar Equipment", "Custom made to order" or "Special order items" are not returnable. Damaged due to improper installation does not warrant a return of an item. Any warranty claims after install must be directly to the manufacturer. Items that have been used will not qualify for a return. Items must be in original packaging when returned. Buyer is responsible for return shipping on items that were ordered in error or which the buyer has changed their mind. A 20% percent restocking fee will apply for returned goods in which store credit or a refund is granted. Original shipping may not be refunded. See warranty information for repair support after your use. Solar Penny LLC is not responsible for damaged to goods caused by buyer’s incorrect installation methods. Many of our devices are electrical components and buyer should handle them cautiously to prevent harming themselves, family, friends, pets or related property. We are not responsible for personal injury sustained by an item due to unsafe handling or unsafe installation of product. Consult a licensed / trained electrical contractor for installation of major electrical components.

Terms of Payments:

All approved returns will be assessed a 20% restocking fee. Returned Merchandise or Cancelled Orders will incur a mandatory 8.5% Credit Card Commission. The 8.5% fee will be assessed anytime a refund is granted for credit card transactions to cover the payment processing fees and refund fees for your transaction. These fees cannot be recovered thus the customer assumes responsibility for these fees.

Purchases over $1,000.00 may require additional payment proof to be faxed or emailed to our office. This is common practice when using a credit card for products. This is a fraud safeguard for our protection. Products will not be shipped until this is complete. Contact us with any questions.
